IMPERFECTIONS

The flaws, the nicks, the irregular and the unpolished are many times discarded in society for not being perfect. So, I wanted to force myself to take a shiny, perfect, flat sheet of silver and just explore what comes out the other side of perfect. The results are unique pieces with depth and character. No one is the other one alike and some may see it as imperfections, but I see it as beauty.

To achieve these pieces, I had to be fearless and go in with force and a lot of heat to manipulate the silver sheet. Most of my designs start as a sketch but this time I had no predisposed idea of what I wanted to accomplish so I couldn’t second-guess myself or overthink it too much. The shapes are raw, pure and organic.
